First Hawarden Harvest of the year

Great to see the first crop out of the ground –  Autumn planted Onions, currently drying off.

We have been busy planting our Tomatoes, Purple sprouting broccoli and Swiss Chard.

We had to re-seed our Dwarf Beans but netted them this time as we think we fed the local bird population on the last lot. Also planted Borlotti Beans for drying to help fill the hunger gap early next year, great for adding to soups, pasta dishes and veggi burgers.

We now have a bit of breathing space and will start to tackle the job of creating two new beds, these have been covered over for about six months to help kill off the worst of the weeds.
